Library

The library is the central knowledge hub of each educational institution. Dnyanvilas College of Pharmacy has a well-organized, ventilated, updated and computerized library as well as a reading room with plenty of natural light and ample space. These features draw students for studying, learning, taking notes, and completing assignments, as well as encouraging them to perform their daily tasks.

The goal of our academic library is to support the institution’s research and teaching programs as well as to give students access to the most recent information on developments in science and society. The library has an enormous collection of books, magazines, periodicals, online e-resources, and subscribed e-journals and magazines.

Library Automation

The library is completely automated, with the Integrated Library Management System to provide efficient operations in areas such as accessioning, issue returns, OPAC, data production, and stock verification.

The Library Management Software provides the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) feature, which allows users to search bibliographical information about the collections. Students are given access to the OPAC computerized system, which makes it easier for them to see how many books are available, how many have been issued, and how many new books have been added to the list. This information helps them issue the appropriate book when needed.

The library has barcodes on every book. Labels are produced with these barcodes, which are generated via the ILMS. The ILMS system retrieves the bar code number from each book that a student returns or issues, and then enters the book information methodically into the computer. Further reprographic services offered by the library include scanning, printing, and photocopying.
